RT-AV030 Description

rt-av030RT-AV030 module is for usage in Automated Black Box Testing system.

It is a HW system which provides test bed for automated testing of AV and multimedia systems in consumer electronic, like TV, STB, PVR and other similar devices.

The main goal of the system is to produce a low cost device according to the customer’s requirements and collected experience from previous similar project and in-house test execution process.

The purpose of the application is to obtain a device for IC/referent platform testing during the final stage of the production process.
 
RT-AV030 Features
System works in two modes:
  • Live preview mode
    In preview mode FPGA will grab input video stream convert them to low resolution (640x480 up to 20 frames per second) and using Video to USB interface transfer it to PC.
  • Image grabber mode
    In picture grabbing mode, the FPGA is used for image capturing, storing into SDRAM and transfer it to host PC. In this mode live preview will be stopped until end of picture transfer.
Video format - image grabbing up to full HD format (1920 x 1080 pixels) with 50/60 pictures per second.
 
RT-AV030 Specifications
  • The board is based on FPGA (Spartan-3 family) with SDRAM system memory.
  • The FPGA is connected to the PC via a USB to IDE Bridge. This enables the user to access the SDRAM memory as a mass storage device.
  • Stereo USB Audio device provides audio grabbing functionality.
  • Three USB buses on the board are joined to one via a USB hub, so only one USB cable goes from the BBT system to the PC.
  • Power supply integrated in platform cover with passive cooling.
