Production line test suite performs testing of STB on production line, where main accent is set on correct functioning and satisfying video and audio characteristics under required electrical conditions like input impedance of a product DUT is intended for.
This test suite also measures other electrical values, like LNB voltage and frequency, reads serial number of the tested DUT, etc.
The environment consists of four test stations performing automatic tests.
Test station 1 - AV Analog Interfaces
This test station is intended for checking of analog audio and video interfaces on DUT. Analog video interfaces CVBS (RCA, SCART) and RGB (SCART), and analog audio interfaces (SCART, RCA) are tested here. MPEG stream decoding is also performed and checked on this station.

Test station 2 - LNB Polarization and Loop Through Testing
This test station is intended for checking of LNB polarization and audio and video check in loop through environment. This station measures LNB voltages while vertical or horizontal polarization are on. Also there is voltage measurement of LNB sinus tone and its frequency. This test station performs loop-through mesurements while loop through of LNB signal is being set on DUT, and when DUT is in standby mode.

Test station 3 - HD AV and RF Loop Through Testing
This test station is intended for testing of HD interfaces of DUT and audio and video check in RF loop through conditions. This test station checks audio and video via HDMI and audio on SPDIF optical interface. In the RF loop through test, factory network signal is fed to DUT via a TV, DUT needs to loop through RF back to the TV, and video and audio quality of the signal is checked on TV SCART ouput. The STB production test suite begins by checking of DUT’s serial number via USB output (USB to RS232).

Test station 4 - Voltage Measurement
This test station is used for measuring of voltages on PIN 8 and PIN 16 of SCART interface and voltages on analog audio and video interfaces. This test station performs following measurements: voltage on PIN 8 while aspect ratio is being switched from 4:3 to 16:9 and back, voltage on PIN 16 while signal is being switched from CVBS to RGB, voltages on RGB, SCART and CVBS and analog audio level.
